Principal's Message

Hello everyone!

Another year at Spruce Ridge School has begun, and we are off to a fabulous start! We have many new staff members and students, and we are looking forward to lots of learning and fun throughout the year!

We believe that parent participation is key to student success; our website is designed to provide parents with all the information they need to be active participants in their student’s education.

We will also be continuing to work on our school improvement goals:

· improving the quality of student writing

· commenting on student progress in Edsby

· providing Indigenous and land-based learning opportunities

· building positive relationships and student sense of belonging

I would like to announce that I will be retiring as Principal of Spruce Ridge School at the end of June 2027. This is my 7th year at Spruce Ridge and my 34th year as an educator. I love school, the students, the staff and the families that I work with every day. However, I am also looking forward to slowing down a (little) bit. You can expect to see me working as a substitute in the future!
